The Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. 6th Annual Empowering Future Leaders Scholarship Breakfast 2017 was a spectacular event! The Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. awarded 30 scholarships to students in the Prince George’s County, Maryland District 8 area. The students who received these scholarships had to reside in Prince George’s County, Maryland District 8 (Camp Springs, Clinton, Forest Heights, Fort Washington, Glassmanor, Marlow Heights, Oxon Hill), provide an official transcript, write a one page essay and provide other documentation as listed on the application, etc. Over the past five years The Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc. has given over $100,000.00 in scholarships to students, making a tremendous difference in the lives of the youth in Prince George’s County.

The event was well attended by VIP’s, politicians, community leaders, federal and local government elected officials including the following: Council District 8 Obie Patterson, Former Deputy Director, White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities Mr. Ronald Blakely, Rolloway Productions CEO Kenneth Davis, Gilmore Consulting Agency President Tarisha Gilmore, President of Thirst No More Corporation Mac Lewis, Founder of Ruth’s Miracle Group Home Foundation Ms. Veronica Alston, Leonard ‘Lennie’ Moses, Maryland State Delegate Tony Knotts, Prince George’s County Drug Policy Coalition, Inc.
